Wildcard Rules
General Rules
- Each match consists of 6 players per team playing 12 frames.
- Premier Division teams start each season with 4 single wildcards.
- Division 1 teams start each season with 4 single wildcards and 1 double wildcard.
- Only one wildcard (single or double) may be used per match.
Single Wildcards (All Divisions)
Eligibility
A team that has only 5 available players may use one single wildcard to make up a full team of 6 players.
How It Works
- The missing player’s frames are filled by two different players, each playing one extra frame (one in each half of the match).
- The two players who will play the wildcard frames are chosen by the opposing captain, using a random draw.
- This can be done by drawing names from a hat or using a suitable mobile app.
Match Procedure
- The match is played as normal for the first half.
- At half-time, both captains enter their players as normal.
- The opposing captain randomly draws one player to play the wildcard frame in the second half.
- The same player cannot play the wildcard frame in both halves.
- Any player who has already played a wildcard frame must be removed from the draw for the second half.
- Once the draw is completed, both captains finalise the line-ups.
| Player | Half 1 | Half 2 | Total |
|---|---|---|---|

| Player B | 1 | 1 | 2 |
| Player C | 1 | 1 | 2 |
| Player D * | 2 | 1 | 3 |
| Player E * | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| Player F | Not available | - | |
* Wildcard frames chosen by opposing captain via random draw
Double Wildcards (Division 1 Only)
Eligibility
A team that has only 4 available players may use one double wildcard to make up a full team of 6 players.
How It Works
- All 4 players will play 3 frames each (12 frames total).
- 2 players play twice in the first half, 2 players play twice in the second half.
- No random draw is required.
- The team captain selects and enters players as normal.
| Player | Half 1 | Half 2 | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Player A | 2 | 1 | 3 |
| Player B | 2 | 1 | 3 |
| Player C | 1 | 2 | 3 |

Misuse of Wildcards
If a team:
- Exceeds its allocated number of wildcards in a season, or
- Misuses the wildcard rules (deliberately or accidentally),
Then all frames played while in breach of the rules will be forfeited.
Statistical Impact
Any forfeited frames:
- Do not count as wins or losses for either team
- Do not count towards individual player statistics for either team
