Ladies and Gents this years SEPF Scottish open will be held in Rileys, Bridge Place, Aberdeen on the 24 and 25th of july. Hopefully with the SEPF still trying to get back on its feet we can count on your support to make this the best scottish open in years. Region 1 has certainly showed that it has an appetite for pool with 76 players signed up to the 5KWR tour. And having spoke to Alan Scott from region 2 he is hopeful of a good turnout from our region 2 counterparts. The addition of a new region 3 has been a huge boost for the SEPF and i would like to take this opportunity to welcome them and hope they will bring a good number of boys from the borders for what will hopefully be a cracking weekend. Finally i know that a number of leagues play world rules but are not affiliated to the SEPF, however you are still more than welcome to come along. The season there will be a club event for the prelim and the first round losers as this format has worked well in the 5KWR tour i thought i would add it to the open aswell. Time may be tight if we get the numbers expected and the introduction of timekeepers(1min a shot) may be needed on the saturday. EXAMPLE OF PRIZE BREAKDOWN WITH 96 PLAYERS ENTRY FEE = £25 TOTAL PRIZE FUND £2400 (£1900 for main event) and (£500 for club) Money will be paid down to the Quarters in the club event and the last 16 in the main event. Entries must be in and paid for 2 weeks prior to the event. To enter please post your name here or PM me with your full name and if your not in the 5KWR then post your contact details aswell. If you are not in region 1 then post your league or region also. Dress code is, SHOES, TROUSERS(not jeans) and COLLARED T-SHIRT OR SHIRT no FOOTBALL COLOURS. Any questions then please ask cheers, Titch [ This message was edited by: titch1 on 2010-05-13 20:09 ]

Is this open to anyone? If so might be worth a bit of advertising on the pool websites in rest of the UK as I think some may come up if the money is good or perhaps a bus load as a weekend trip if enough warning is given. Would SPA players be able to play in an Open World Rules event? ----------------- CML Web Design LtdYour complete web solution!

Open being the operative word Mr Lawrie. They would be barred by the SPA though.

Ah well think youll definitely get some English boys coming up with some notice though. Are Rileys adding money in if you get a certain amount of entries? ----------------- CML Web Design LtdYour complete web solution!

Yeh did think it might be worth advertising but will give our own boys a bit of time to get names in first. SPA players would be barred by the SPA but any league that plays blackball but are not affiliated would be allowed.

Sorry forgot to answer the bit about rileys. Rileys sponsor all SEPF events with £1 per head per event but they do not pay that out on the day you have to invoice them for it. So if we got 96 players thats £96, hopefully we can sort something out and add that money to the prize pot.
